When the weather gets cold I love to come home from work and take a hot bath and drink a cup of tea!  Now that the boutique is carrying the Just Add Honey line of artisian teas, my Lipton box is in the trash! Never thought that would happen but WOW what a difference I’ll tell ya!  I started out with my fav… Earl Grey Cream, it has a hint of vanilla and all Im gonna say is YUM!  We have a vairiety of flavors like black tea, herbal tea,and  fruit teas for sale at the boutique. They come in  2 different sizes of canisters and you can get caffinated or decaf! The prices are amazing so why not pick up a couple of cans (since it will be so hard to decide on just one flavor) !  Did I mention what a great Christmas gift or even stocking stuffer these yummy teas will make?

I am so excited about cooler weather!   Felted Heart ’s wooly warmers and scarves are just about my favorite thing ever to wear in the winter!  We here at the boutique are so proud to be carrying this fantastic line of green whimsical wool clothing and accessories. The artist Mary Sweeney makes her of one-of-a-kind garments and accessories our of repurposed wool, reflecting a commitment to environmental sustainability. Check out these little jewels.  They are way cute!!   Wooly warmers are priced at $28.00 and scarves at $60.00,  they make a great holiday gift!!!

Yes, the boutique is up and running just in time for holiday shopping!  As promised we are trying our darnedest to keep all our products local and handmade. Over the next few weeks I will be spotlighting all the vendors and a few of their products that will be in the boutique.  I think it fitting that I start with Mama Bath and Body since I am picking up her product today with much excitement!!!  The boutique will be carrying a selection of her handmade soaps, scrubs, and gift sets.   All her products are all natural….. of course!  The packaging is adorable and perfect for gift giving! I never thought in a million years I would be making buckles as a full time job!  People ask me all the time for small business advice. We love our customers so much that we want to spotlight their stores on our blog!  Divas and Dames came up with an oh so cute display for our buckles.  I love the way they incorporated the jeans in the display. What goes better with jeans than buckles?????  Divas and Dames is the IT place to shop in Acworth Ga.  They are located at 4809 South Main Street….go by and check them out….and ask for Shana!

The last few months have certainly been a whirlwind for Princess and Butch!  We are now being represtented in 2 Showrooms!….one here in Atlanta at the Atlanta Gift Mart in the Tango showroom. And, the other in the Denver Gift mart.   The Montage showroom will be representing us there…..We are super excited about the opportunity to grow the business and are hoping for great things over the next year!  If you aren’t sure exactly what a showroom will do for us here are the logistics.   A showroom provides a permanent home for our products to be viewed by buyers for retail outlets big & small, brick-and-mortar, online or catalog.  Each showroom also has its own road reps as well.These showrooms represent very strong lines in the industry and we feel extremly blessed to be along side them!

I am totally thrilled to say that I am officially finished with the Fall 2010 Princess and Butch Collection.  I think this seasons buckles are  a lot different that what everyone is used to seeing. Hoping that our retailers love it as much as we do!!   There will be appx 28 new designs added so stay tuned!!!!  I will post a few ”sneak peeks” shortly.  Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend….I’m taking a break!

So I am thinking I will start over with the  blog writing.  I really had good intentions of getting started with it months ago, but with the consumption of buckle making and the lack of “know how” to get started I think I just put it out of my mind.  Until now….  What has inspired me you ask??  Well it all started when Stacy and I were invited to Ms Mary Sweeneys 50th surprise party the other night.(ooops I ment 29th)    We  loaded up our plates with the most delicious food then decided to go park our butts out onto the most amazing screened porch, which overlooked her perfectly landscaped backyard.  (My dream backyard acutally)  As we were stuffing our faces, we got to talking with one of Mary’s MANY sisters that were there. She shared with us her new idea that she wanted to start blogging about…..but then went off to say that she didn”t know how to get started which is why she hadn’t done it yet. . So, of course I felt the need to add my two sense and encouragement in hopes to get her started.  Hmmmmm sounds kinda wierd being that I am in the same boat, huh?  So, with all that said…..I am officially starting today.  Can’t promise anything spectacular……but, I do promise that I will start, and I will try with everything that I have to bring something interesting and entertaining to the table.
